TOEK SOFTWARE DESIGN / AN INDEPENDENT PROJECT
Switchyard Northeast Corridor started with a love of trains and a simple question: what would you change about New York’s subway?
I loved playing JP Wright’s NYC subway-building game. That feeling of drawing a new connection and imagining a different city inspired me to build Switchyard Northeast Corridor: my own expanding transit sandbox, made by a fellow train lover.
This is an independent, unofficial project. I’m not affiliated with JP Wright or the original game, and the credit for that inspiration belongs to its creator.
Add stations, reshape lines, try a long-awaited connection, or build something completely your own. Explore beyond the five boroughs into nearby New Jersey, western Long Island, and Yonkers, and watch the game’s ridership, coverage, and ratings respond.
The numbers are gameplay simulations, not real transit forecasts. This is a place to experiment and have fun.
Switchyard Northeast Corridor is an early public beta by Toek Software Design. I’m hoping to bring it to an app, add new modes, and make more fun NYC subway-related projects.

JOIN THE CONVERSATION →Boston joins the same Switchyard editor: rapid transit, optional commuter rail and Silver Line bus services. Built around community ideas—ring connections, Green Line experiments and better airport access—without claiming any one plan is the right answer. Start in Boston →
